Deno visits museum tug MV HOLLAND
Last week during the Seaport Days Amsterdam 2023, hosted by Amports in cooperation with the Port Authority Port of Amsterdam and ORAM, Deno visited the museum tug MV HOLLAND. In 2016 Deno Compressors donated a L2-35 compressor with LRS class, to be used as a emergency stand-by starting air compressor. The L2-35 is part of the L2 series with a capacity of 35 m3/h at 50Hz.
The sea tug MV HOLLAND (PESK), the Dutch wording: “Paraat En Start Klaar” (translation: “Ready And Stand-by”), is built in 1951 with a length of 57 m and has a track record of 200+ successful recues. The MV HOLLAND is equipped with a “Werkspoor” TMABS 3910 main engine, producing 1500 kW and is capable of reaching 16 kn. Since 2000 the MV HOLLAND is part of the “Sea Tugboat Holland Foundation” and registered in the “International Register of Historic Ships”.
